And I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look theron. -- Revelations 5:4

Dozed on the couch this afternoon and had the oddest dream. I had in my possession an advance copy of what looks like an interesting book, if it existed: Harold Bloom and the Conversion of the Jews, a massive (837 pages) oversize coffee-table book, full of text and pictures, an on-going, very heady and explicatory interview with the Grand Poobah about Biblical texts, illustrated by garish graphic art. Categorized, on the cover, under "Wordy." Set to be published in October of 1937.

I read, much of the night, and go south in the winter. -- Eliot, Waste Land
