Cool Beans! -- that's the name of the place I eat virtually every day for lunch, and it's featured in the story in today's State about Columbia coffeehouses that show local art. Yes, the bland visage of Che Guevara is something I stare at regularly. Personally, I don't much care for most of the art in the place, but I keep my mouth shut because you never know who's around. The place is filled with students, among whom may or may not be the artists and their friends; always my fear anyway, since a lot of the stuff looks kinda young, juvenile, superficial -- which is, also, what gives the place its flavor; along with the fact that it's one of the few lunch places left in Columbia where you still light up.
