I recently acquired A Serious Call to a Devout and Holy Life by William Law (1686-1761) and am reading it on a somewhat tentative basis. A book somewhat in the mold of John Bunyan's Grace Abounding to the Chief of Sinners -- old, fundamentalist, fiery and, also, soberingly honest and straightforward.
