The Online Film Critics Society Names the Greatest Screen Villain Of All Time -- and there is one glaring (to me) omission: Childress, played by John Cassavetes in Brian De Palma's The Fury. Pure evil -- dressed in black, with dark glasses and a black arm sling to match. Cassavetes was generally a better actor than he was a director (although I love some of his films as much as I loathe others) and no villain in the history of cinema ever had a greater send-off.
