CORRECTION

There are TWO Fred Kaplans -- surprise, surprise -- and I've just been informed by the one who wrote the excellent article on Rules of the Game that he's NOT the one who was lambasted by Christopher Hitchens.

The one who wrote the Renoir article also covers national security for Slate.com.

The other Mr. Kaplan -- Mr. Hitchens' target -- is a biographer of Henry James, Gore Vidal and Mark Twain.
