Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, although I can't say I've spent this federal holiday much thinking of him (great man though he is). I got a haircut, bought a new toilet handle, cleaned up the diarrhea on the carpet from our beloved incontinent toy poodle, now in the latter stages of senile dementia, and read The Red and the Black. More productive than a day off usually is. And I'm listening to Chopin, who will play all day on the computer; Chopin and Bach do not inspire listlessness and non-engagement.
