Caryn James: "Ms. Fonda has never made a film as enduring as some that her father, Henry Fonda, starred in. 'Julia' and 'Klute' are terrific movies, but there's no 'Grapes of Wrath' in her career."

Pondering this.

Yeah, I guess that's correct.

But I think she's usually better than her material, or at her best she is. She was great in They Shoot Horses, Don't They?, Klute and, if memory serves, The China Syndrome -- although I guess nuclear energy was more the star of that one.

Amazing though that she's been out of the loop for 15 years.
