Periods 101

This 1971 educational film about menstruation -- available here: http://www.ifilm.com/ifilmdetail/2690361 -- is a true oddity: weirdly funny but also just weird, almost to the point of disturbing. A little girl (who may or may not be mentally retarded) asks her mom, sister and dad about getting periods, all of whom tell her the exact same information over and over, almost to the point where I began to think I was hallucinating. A true "orphan film" artifact, although of what I'm not sure, exactly.  There's a sense of obsessiveness to it; whoever made it seemed to be aiming for an audience of zombies who would be hearing this information for the first and only time.  Freaky, freaky, freaky. A must-watch.
