I've devoted a fair amount of time to the French filmmaker Jacques Rivette, who makes really long movies. Over three hours for the super-mysterious, brilliant and impenetrable Celine and Julie Go Boating, four hours for La Belle Noiseuse (which I actually saw twice, both because it's the greatest film ever made about painting and because Emmanuelle Beart spends the entire time bare-ass naked) and two and a half hours for Va Savoir.

Would I be up for 12 full hours of him? Good question.
