Is it okay to say "I barely remember this film, but I've never forgotten it"?
It's been years since I've seen The Long Good Friday, but I do remember it's fantastic, with a classic performance by Bob Hoskins.
One of the great benefits of aging is that you forget a lot of great movies you've seen, and get to see them again for the first time. That's why I'm looking forward to this one.
