Slate.com has a nice little video segment on Hillary Clinton's eerie resemblance to Tracy Flick, Reese Witherspoon's character in the movie Election -- which, by the way, is one of the great American films of the 1990s and one of the best films I know about about the American drive to succeed and the shame of failure.
Tracy Flick is such a pure archetype of a certain kind of bullheaded, control-freak ambition; Donna Tartt soars to mind.
